THE PLAYBOOK is a calm companion for parents and carers of neurodivergent children. It is built so that day-to-day logs stay on your device unless you choose to create an account or post in Community.

This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can export or delete it. It is written for a parent or carer using the app — not for a child using it on their own.
Who the app is for
THE PLAYBOOK is designed for adults (parents, carers, family members). Children may appear in logs you write, but the account and device belong to the adult. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 16. If you think a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
What we store on your device
Most information never leaves the phone or tablet you are using. It is saved in the browser’s local storage under keys that start with playbook:. That can include:
- Daily energy and mood logs, notes, sleep, food, behaviour, therapy, medication reminders you type, wins, milestones
- Child nicknames you add and which child is selected
- At-a-glance profile notes and brain-dump text
- Whether this device has unlocked the £2.99 features
- Onboarding “seen” flags and custom tick options
Anyone with access to that device and browser can see this data. We cannot see device-only logs from our side.
What we store if you create an account
An account is optional. If you sign up, we use Supabase (hosted in the cloud) to keep:
- Email address and an encrypted password
- A display name if you give one
- A flag that this account has paid for the one-time unlock
- Community or Discover posts you choose to publish
Daily tracking logs are not automatically uploaded to your account in this version. If that changes, we will update this page first.
Payments
The one-time £2.99 unlock is taken by Stripe. Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay details go to Stripe, not to THE PLAYBOOK. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to that payment. After a successful payment we only store that this device (and, if you are signed in, this account) is unlocked.
Analytics, ads and cookies
We do not run advertising networks in the app. We do not sell your data. The site may use essential cookies or local storage so the app can install as a PWA and remember your session. We do not use the data for profiling or remarketing.
Why we process data
- To provide the product you asked for — saving logs, insights, reports and printables on your device
- To take payment — one-time unlock via Stripe
- To run an optional account — sign-in, password reset, restore unlock on another device
- To publish posts you submit — Community / Discover
- Legal obligation — keep payment records Stripe already holds, answer a deletion request
UK GDPR lawful bases: contract (providing the app you opened), legitimate interests (keeping the product secure and working), and consent where you publish a post or create an account.
How long we keep it
Device logs stay until you delete them or clear the browser site data. Account email stays until you ask us to delete the account. Community posts stay until you delete the post or ask us to remove it. Payment records follow Stripe’s retention rules.
Your rights
You can:
- Export a JSON backup from the app (Export in the header)
- Delete device data from Today → Your data, or by clearing site data for theplaybook.cloud in the browser
- Delete an account or a Community post by emailing Theplaybookhome@gmail.com from the same address
- Ask for a copy of account data we hold, or object to processing
We aim to reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) if you are in the UK.
Sharing
We do not sell family logs. Processors we use:
- Stripe — payments
- Supabase — optional accounts and Community posts
- GitHub Pages / hosting — serving the website
A professional report you generate is created on your device. If you print it or email it to school or a GP, that share is your choice.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Device logs depend on the lock screen and browser of the device you use. Do not log highly sensitive medical detail you would not want on a shared family tablet. This product is not a clinical record system.

THE PLAYBOOK is a family organiser. It is not medical advice, a diagnosis tool, or a replacement for a GP, therapist, or school plan.

If we start syncing logs to the cloud, add analytics, or change processors, we will update this page and the date above.
